Micro Bulb for Illuminated Switches

Post by taco_kid »

hi all,
The GX and other vehicles use micro bulbs for switch illumination, and when they die you should replace them. the OEM dealers sell one replacement for about $4 (+ shipping or tax, or both). $4+ for one replacement is ludicrous to me.

the micro bulb 7219 is a common bulb used for replacement. i have yet to do the write-up for doing the replacement but i will add DIY write-up soon as i have to replace my bulbs for the seat heater switches on my 2006 GX.

i have many of these micro 7219 bulbs, 80cents each + $1.80 USPS ship fee.

item #1604

I have a few switches with burned out bulbs. care to do a quick write up for us less-electrically inclined persons?

I dont have any write-ups. The center seat-heat switches seem to have bulb issues sooner than other illuminated switches. U Toob is a good place to find videos that other folks have done on replacing the bulbs. I only have the bulbs.
